Appriss provides nationwide, real-time information services to police, government, insurers and healthcare providers — most notably VINE, which notifies victims and law enforcement about inmate status. Supporting desktops, servers and networks across more than 2,000 jails with a 99.95% uptime target, the team found its on‑premises CA Spectrum monitoring was resource‑intensive (consuming ~10% of infrastructure) and required multiple full‑time staff, creating operational risk if the monitoring system itself went down.

Appriss replaced Spectrum with LogicMonitor’s cloud SaaS, using a lightweight collector, preconfigured alerts and API integration to surface jail availability and trigger escalation chains directly in Appriss’s apps.
