A Local Measure Case Study
Cisco ran DevNet Create, a hands-on developer conference, and needed a way to engage both in-person and remote attendees in real time while amplifying the event through user-generated content. To meet that challenge, Cisco implemented Local Measure’s social engagement tools and UGC galleries to surface and manage event-related social posts and drive community interaction.
Local Measure’s solution collected 1,239 social posts from 346 people, powered on-site “falling cards” displays and an embedded responsive gallery on the DevNet Create site, and provided reporting via its dashboard. As a result, hosts engaged with just under 20% of posts with an average response time of 45 minutes, the event’s social content reached nearly three million people during the conference, and posts captured during the surrounding week achieved more than five million impressions overall.
