Resistbot is a nonprofit that helps individuals advocate for government accountability by turning a simple text message into a formal message for elected officials. Their challenge was finding a fast, reliable way to deliver constituent messages across a mix of channels, especially to smaller government offices that may not have email or web forms. Resistbot used Lob’s Print & Mail API to make sure important correspondence could still be delivered by direct mail.

With Lob, Resistbot converted text-based requests into high-quality physical letters and mailings, giving constituents a dependable way to reach officials when electronic channels weren’t available. The results were significant: Resistbot has sent more than 30 million letters overall, used Lob to trigger 100,000 real letters in one major campaign, and helped users pre-fill over 10,000 voter registration forms that were mailed for signing and return. Lob played a critical role in making direct mail a scalable and reliable part of Resistbot’s outreach.
