A Lionbridge Case Study
Customer Lionbridge, a Fortune 100 multinational food processing company, faced a fragmented IT landscape after numerous acquisitions and launched a global SAP rollout to unify systems and processes. To translate extensive internal communications into more than 50 languages, revise outdated glossaries and Do Not Translate lists, manage hundreds of reviewers, and meet aggressive timelines, the customer engaged vendor Lionbridge and its SAP translation services, including the Lionbridge Language Cloud.
Vendor Lionbridge implemented its SAP translation process and Lionbridge Language Cloud portal, onboarding hundreds of project owners and reviewers and translating eLearning, videos, emails, posters and documents across 51 languages. Lionbridge translated 7 million words, expanded and improved the glossary and DNT list, streamlined review workflows with SharePoint trackers and training, and completed the first phase within six months—enabling on-time SAP releases and securing follow-on rollouts for 2024–2025.
