Mirka, a family-owned global abrasives company headquartered in Finland, needed to translate large volumes of marketing, product and app content into multiple languages while preserving a single, consistent brand voice. To overcome slow, manual workflows and local office inconsistencies, Mirka engaged Lionbridge to integrate with their existing Optimizely CMS and support content and software localization for the MyMirka app and website.
Lionbridge deployed an Optimizely connector, created streamlined submission workflows, developed a multilingual glossary and managed end-to-end translation and localization into six target languages (Russian, French, German, Italian, Swedish and Dutch). The Lionbridge team centralized project management and quality checks, enabling Mirka to publish translations simultaneously, cut translation time by 50%, reduce translation costs by 20%, and free internal staff to focus on content creation and product innovation.
