Lionbridge Global Retail Localization for Market Expansion

Lionbridge, a lifestyle apparel retailer with a global retail footprint, was growing quickly and targeting 35 markets. Its localization efforts could not keep up with the need for translated content, which made it harder to build strong customer bases in new markets.

Lionbridge worked with the retailer on an 18-month language services project that included on-site translators, translation and localization, video and audio translation, eLearning localization, localization testing, centralized production, and quarterly language quality assurance. The work helped the retailer distribute localized content across its 35 target markets and reduce localization costs by 25 percent, allowing it to localize more content within the same budget.
