How Lionbridge Brought Life-Saving Information to Danish Parents Using Linguistic Validation

The Danish Hemophilia Society (DHS) needed a Danish version of three Patient Reported Outcome (PRO) questionnaires to help parents manage children with immune thrombocytopenic purpura (ITP). DHS engaged Lionbridge to deliver linguistic validation and translation services so the tool would be accurate and suitable for potential medical research and everyday clinical use.

Lionbridge performed forward and back translations, comparative review, reconciliation, and other linguistic validation steps in collaboration with DHS, the Danish chief pediatrician, and the original author. The result was a comprehensive, compliant Danish PRO questionnaire that helps parents more effectively monitor children with ITP and communicate with life‑saving healthcare providers; Lionbridge’s agile, quality-focused approach met industry standards and earned DHS’s strong recommendation.
