Freshworks, a San Mateo–based maker of business software used by over 58,000 customers, faced the challenge of preserving its people-first culture while scaling rapidly—growing from about 1,000 to over 5,000 employees in four years—and meeting a #pledgeforequality goal to raise women’s representation from a quarter to a third. At the same time, the company needed a structured way to measure and act on employee sentiment rather than rely on anecdote.

Using LinkedIn Talent Solutions—including Recruiter, Talent Insights and Talent Pool Reports—Freshworks expanded its hiring reach into at least seven new markets and ran targeted branding campaigns, while LinkedIn Glint provided biannual company‑wide feedback and actionable recommendations. Within a year the company hit 31% female representation overall, now has more than 25% women in leadership, improved hiring speed and access to diverse talent pools, and strengthened employee engagement to help sustain a happy workplace and better customer outcomes.
