Saxo Bank Drives Targeted Engagement in New Markets with Lookalike Audiences

Saxo Bank, a Copenhagen-based fintech specializing in online trading and investing with about 1,500 employees, aimed to grow awareness in key markets including the UK, Singapore, Australia, Hong Kong and the UAE. The challenge was to reach quality, relevant professional audiences in these newer geographies to drive meaningful engagement.

Saxo used LinkedIn’s Lookalike Audiences to automatically build segments resembling their customer base and ran Sponsored Content and Video Ad campaigns against those audiences. The approach delivered immediate gains: video ads achieved a 34% view-through rate (vs. 28% benchmark) and a 26% completion rate (vs. 21% benchmark), outperforming campaign benchmarks.
