The International Coach Federation (ICF), a global membership organization for professional coaches, needed to grow membership and raise awareness of member benefits while reaching prospects at the right career stage—specifically those who’ve completed about 60 hours of coach training. Its challenge was to find and engage the right audience worldwide and prompt them to join at a time when membership would be most valuable.
ICF ran a multi‑touch LinkedIn campaign using Sponsored InMails, Sponsored Content, and Display Ads to deliver personal invitations, thought‑leadership content, and visual stories of members. The campaign enrolled 1,899 new members, generated $465,000 in membership revenue (a 1,761% ROI), achieved a 45% Sponsored InMail open rate with a 4.6% CTR, and saw Sponsored Content engagement at twice LinkedIn benchmarks—nearly meeting ICF’s annual membership growth target from a single campaign.
