Florida International University’s online division, FIU Online, offers a range of specialized undergraduate and graduate programs and needed a way to reach pre-qualified, career-focused prospects for niche professional degrees. The challenge was to raise awareness and increase enrollment while attracting the right kinds of students with relevant job experience and educational backgrounds.
FIU Online turned to LinkedIn, first via its self-service platform and then with a dedicated account team, using Sponsored Content and Sponsored InMail targeted by job function, field of study, and education level. The approach drove measurable results—one InMail campaign produced four applications in under two weeks, InMail open rates reached up to 2× LinkedIn benchmarks, Sponsored Content engagement hit as high as 1.8%, and the university gained clear lead-to-enrollment attribution.
