EHS Insight, a provider of environmental, health and safety software, moved from an on-premises enterprise model to a new SaaS offering for small and midsize businesses and needed a more focused way to reach EHS decision-makers. Past channels attracted low-value traffic (e.g., generic “green” queries), so the team faced two main challenges: establish credibility with a new audience and improve ineffective lead generation.
They turned to LinkedIn Sponsored Content with precise targeting (job title, company size, geography, groups and skills like OSHA), integrated campaigns with HubSpot, and ran A/B tests on content (blogs, eBooks, product pages) driving demos and trials. The approach produced a 47% increase in new contacts, 50% more MQLs, a 31% lower CPA versus other channels, 58% of LinkedIn leads were senior EHS professionals, and brand awareness grew 119%.
