Cisco Canada, the local arm of the global IT and networking leader, wanted to expand its digital marketing and social efforts to drive more high-quality leads and get better value from its campaigns. To achieve this, Cisco partnered with LinkedIn Marketing Solutions to run targeted campaigns promoting a white paper for the manufacturing sector, using job role, title, seniority and Matched Audiences to reach IT decision makers and carrying those insights into future campaigns. The effort lowered cost per acquisition by 56% versus other marketing efforts, cut overall cost per contact by more than 50% (and up to 75% in some cases), while improving targeting precision and lead quality with help from LinkedIn specialists.
