Adobe, a San Jose–based computer software company with 25,000 employees, faced a last-minute crisis when its annual Adobe Summit—planned for 23,000 attendees in Las Vegas—had to be canceled one month before the event. The team rapidly pivoted to an online format, requiring a complete rethink of event marketing to reach a much larger, global audience.
Adobe increased organic and paid social activity, leaning on LinkedIn (including its first LinkedIn Live and regional streams in French, German, and Japanese) to showcase the virtual experience. The campaign drove 28,400 LinkedIn Live views within 24 hours (with 2,000+ reactions/comments), more than 700,000 total online views, over 40 million social impressions, and pre-event registrations that were three times the initial goal.
