Wondercide, an American retailer of pet- and family-safe bug sprays, faced the challenge of re-engaging high-value customers who had lapsed or opted out of email communications. Working with Lexer and using the Lexer Customer Data Platform (CDP) plus guidance from the Lexer Success team, Wondercide identified high-value cohorts by last order date and channel addressability to target those unreachable by email.
Using Lexer’s CDP to segment customers and inform messaging, Wondercide sent personalized direct-mail postcards with A/B testing and later automated sends. The Lexer-powered program drove massive results: the first campaign delivered a 600% overall ROI (with +1,493% ROI for opted-out customers, +271% for inactive, +62% for lapsed), and a later round produced a 239% total ROI (310% opted-out, 203% inactive, 155% lapsed).
