A Lectra Case Study
Romanita, a family‑owned Romanian apparel manufacturer founded in 1972, operates an 3,800 m2 facility with 800 employees and produces about 8,000 pieces a month for international brands such as H&M, Zara and Marks & Spencer. Facing faster fashion cycles, tighter margins and shortened deadlines, the company needed to modernize its cutting room to reduce fabric waste, speed up turnaround and minimize downtime to preserve on‑time delivery and customer trust.
After partnering with Lectra, Romanita installed two Brio spreaders and two Vector cutters, adopted Diamino marker‑making and is moving to Modaris for patternmaking. The upgrades enabled larger, more accurate cutting runs, freed staff from menial tasks, and improved pre‑production planning — cutting error rates by 25%, waste by 3% and fabric consumption by 2% while boosting speed, quality and customer satisfaction.
