Our Collaboration with Lectra Has Been an Integral Part of Our Systems for about 16 Years Here at JCpenney

JCPenney, an iconic American retailer with a large private‑label design operation in New York City, relies on a team of about 150 designers working across offices to produce womenswear and menswear collections. The group needed to move quickly to respond to market trends while maintaining clear communication with remote teams and suppliers and ensuring color consistency in prints and textiles.

To meet those needs JCPenney uses Lectra’s Kaledo design software to visualize prints in multiple colorways and textures and to manage color data shared with mills and other offices. The result is faster decision‑making and tighter collaboration, consistent color reproduction across the supply chain, and reduced time to develop new styles and carry over bestsellers—benefits that have supported a long, productive partnership with Lectra.
