A Lectra Case Study
Moroso, the Italian design house known for vibrant, museum-worthy sofas and seating since 1952, sought to speed time-to-market and optimize cost evaluation and industrialization without sacrificing its distinctive design identity. The company needed to shorten prototyping, improve cost visibility from early design stages, and increase cutting-room flexibility to handle greater variety and modularity.
Lectra provided DesignConcept for virtual prototyping and costing, plus automated cutting solutions (Versalis, Vector) and the Brio spreader, alongside hands-on training and process mapping. As a result, Moroso can evaluate cost and feasibility at the earliest stages, cut prototyping time and costs, boost material savings and production flexibility, and capture data for continuous process improvement while preserving its creative edge.
