Lectra And Polipol Join Forces In Shaping The Future Of Leather Processing

Polipol, a European market leader in upholstered furniture, partnered with Lectra to address rising complexity in leather products, growing customization demands, shorter delivery times and sharply increasing leather costs. The challenge was to maintain Polipol’s high-quality, flexible manufacturing while scaling and speeding up production through better automation and data-driven processes.

Lectra and Polipol ran collaborative workshops and built a leather competence center in Poland equipped with Versalis cutters, digitalization stations, offline nesting and hide-flaw identification, all integrated into Polipol’s IT and planning systems. The result: higher throughput, significant material and time savings, reduced waste and costs, improved supplier and hide quality control, and ongoing KPI-driven process optimization that made Polipol’s leather production more efficient and flexible.
