A Lectra Case Study
Industrias Haber’s is a 100% Mexican maker and retailer of suits, uniforms and casualwear—producing about 130,000 garments a month and supplying both its own brands and high-end partners such as Hugo Boss and Armani. Faced with rising orders, fierce competition and the need to lower costs without sacrificing the precise fit and premium quality of tailored garments, Haber’s needed faster, more efficient cutting-room and production planning processes to shorten time to market.
Partnering with Lectra to automate marker making and cut-order planning (Optiplan) and installing high-speed Vector cutters, Haber’s cut fabric waste by about 3–4%, improved product quality by 20–25%, boosted production efficiency ~10%, reduced lead times by 30% and shortened its manufacturing cycle from 15 to 10 days (sometimes to 3). The move also doubled cutting capacity from 1,200 to 2,400 units/day, enabling faster delivery, sharper cost control and expansion into made-to-measure offerings.
