GGZ is a family-run Italian apparel manufacturer (est. 1968) that produces over two million pieces annually and develops two in-house womenswear lines, Vicolo (fast fashion) and Solotre. Facing the need to deliver 1,250 new styles per season while maintaining high-quality wool and cashmere blends, GGZ needed to increase output, diversify styles and shorten lead times to compete internationally.

GGZ implemented Lectra’s Modaris Expert to automate and streamline patternmaking and prototyping, replacing manual processes and improving team communication. The software links related pattern pieces, speeds defect detection, and cuts time from first test garment to production—enabling GGZ to reallocate time to design and analysis and successfully expand Vicolo into France, the Netherlands and Denmark.
