A Lectra Case Study
F&F, the clothing arm of UK supermarket Tesco, faced the fast-fashion challenge of delivering on-trend, well-fitting garments quickly across an expanding international franchise network. Time‑poor customers expect the right fit without trying items on, and F&F needed tighter control over patterns, grading and supplier communication as it scaled into more than 23 countries.
By bringing pattern making in‑house and implementing Lectra’s Modaris 3D virtual prototyping, F&F dramatically cut physical samples and sped time to market—getting products in store within four weeks. 3D simulations enabled automated, accurate grading, adoption of an updated children’s size chart across ranges, fewer fit errors, better designer visualization and smoother global collaboration, with the long‑term goal of single virtual fit approvals.
