A Lectra Case Study
Ese.Y, founded in Zhengzhou in 2001, is a market leader in women’s pants with the largest production site for the category in China. Rapid growth in e-commerce, unpredictable demand peaks (notably during Double 11) and a shift to small-batch, multi-specification orders meant the company needed a more agile, intelligent manufacturing setup to meet faster delivery windows and higher quality expectations.
Ese.Y adopted Lectra’s Vector cutting machines, which deliver precise, zero-buffer cutting and robust fabric management. The machines cut labor costs by more than RMB 300,000 per unit annually, reduced fabric waste, improved cut-part consistency and sewing quality, and enabled dramatic speed gains—where production once took 10 days for 80,000 orders in 2012, comparable orders were completed the same day by 2016—helping Ese.Y scale online sales and secure its leading position on Tmall.
