Dassault Falcon Jet Digitalizes Its End-to-End Interior Design Value Chain

Dassault Falcon Jet, a maker of customized business jets, needed greater flexibility and efficiency in its Little Rock upholstery shop because customers frequently change interior specifications and the shop’s manual processes couldn’t keep pace with 3D digital prototyping already in use. The company sought to shorten lead times, improve quality and meet tight cost targets while supporting one-off, highly personalized interiors.

By implementing Lectra’s DesignConcept 3D design software and Versalis digital leather cutting solution, Dassault Falcon Jet created an end-to-end digital value chain from seating design to cutting execution. The automated workflow reduced variation and waste, increased leather yield from about 5% to 10%, brought rejected pieces to nearly zero, sped turnaround times and cut costs—enabling the company to deliver higher-quality, custom interiors faster.
