Corse composites aéronautiques (CCA), a Corsica‑based Level 1 subcontractor supplying high‑performance composite fuselage hatches, staircases and aerodynamic parts to Airbus, Dassault and others, faced the challenge of increasing productivity and flexibility without compromising the extremely stringent quality, traceability and cost controls required in aerospace production. Their existing CAD/CAM, cutting and marking processes were time‑consuming, produced excessive waste, and delivered low first‑pass prototype accuracy.

CCA implemented Lectra’s composite‑specific suite—DesignConceptTechTex, DiaminoTechTex and VectorTechTex FX—upgrading design, nesting and automated cutting. The Vector’s kitcut blade and integrated die‑punching improved cut quality and run time, eliminating inkjet marking with automatic barcode stamping; Diamino’s automatic nesting cut setup time from hours to minutes and delivered about 10% material savings; DesignConcept greatly raised first‑pass accuracy so prototypes rarely need rework. The result: simplified processes, greater flexibility (mono‑ and multi‑ply runs), and up to ~10% overall material and productivity gains while meeting aerospace quality standards.
