Vanderbilt-Ingram Cancer Center Slashed Patient Wait Times by 30%

Vanderbilt-Ingram Cancer Center, a leading NCI-designated adult cancer center serving middle Tennessee across 11 locations with 126 infusion chairs and 180 physician providers, faced high patient and drug wait times, frequent missed nurse lunches, and a desire to increase capacity but lacked the tools to do so. To address these challenges they partnered with LeanTaaS and deployed iQueue for Infusion Centers.

LeanTaaS’s iQueue solution enabled scheduling leaders to level-load the day and steer add-ons while leaders used data tools to balance capacity across oncology and non-oncology infusions. As a result, Vanderbilt-Ingram achieved a 30% decrease in chair wait time, a 27% decrease in drug wait times, and an 8% increase in infusion volumes using the same number of chairs, unlocking measurable capacity and operational efficiency.
