UCHealth’s University of Colorado Cancer Center in Denver — an NCI‑designated Comprehensive Cancer Center with 175 chairs across 10 centers — was consistently operating at capacity, with pronounced mid‑day peaks, slow mornings and evenings, frequent waiting‑room overflow and patients sometimes waiting hours for chairs. To address these operational challenges, UCHealth partnered with LeanTaaS and deployed iQueue for Infusion Centers.

LeanTaaS used iQueue for Infusion Centers’ data science and machine learning to build optimized scheduling templates, first at a 28‑chair center (with 6 private rooms) and then across six additional centers adding 104 chairs. The LeanTaaS solution smoothed patient flow and better aligned demand with capacity, delivering measurable impact: 33% lower waiting times at peak hours, 15% lower average waiting time, 14% higher patient volumes, and 28% less overtime.
