A LeanTaaS Case Study
UCHealth’s University of Colorado Cancer Center, a high-volume NCI-designated center with 175 chairs across 10 centers, struggled with consistent overcapacity, pronounced mid-day peaks and slow mornings/evenings, frequent waiting-room overflow, and patients sometimes waiting hours for infusion chairs. To address this, UCHealth partnered with LeanTaaS and implemented iQueue for Infusion Centers.
LeanTaaS deployed iQueue for Infusion Centers (initially at a 28‑chair, 6‑private‑room center, then rolled out to six more centers adding 104 chairs) to build optimized scheduling templates using data science and machine learning. As a result, LeanTaaS helped UCHealth achieve a 33% reduction in waiting times at peak hours, a 15% drop in average waiting time, a 14% increase in patient volumes, and a 28% reduction in overtime hours.
