Texas Oncology Achieved 15% Increase in Daily Volume

Texas Oncology-Round Rock, part of the large community-based cancer practice Texas Oncology, faced the need to increase capacity for new patients without expanding clinic footprint, reduce uneven infusion chair utilization that caused long waits and missed staff breaks, and maximize physical and staffing resources during COVID. They engaged LeanTaaS and deployed iQueue for Infusion Centers as a scalable solution across their statewide network.

LeanTaaS implemented iQueue for Infusion Centers to level-load schedules and optimize chair and staff utilization; in the first 14 clinics 12/14 locations increased average scheduled appointments, 9/14 increased average daily scheduled patient hours, and 11/14 achieved more level-loaded chair utilization. Overall impacts included about a 17% increase in average daily scheduled patient hours, site-specific gains of ~20% (Amarillo) and ~25% (Baylor), smoother morning ramp-ups, and increased afternoon chair utilization — enabling Texas Oncology-Round Rock to treat more patients using existing resources.
