Monument Health Rapid City Hospital, the largest facility in the Monument Health system with 12 operating rooms and a Level II trauma center serving western South Dakota, faced inefficient perioperative operations: OR open time was managed by phone and fax, first-come/first-serve access was chaotic during COVID-driven schedule changes, and leadership had to manually pull metrics from the EHR.
