The City of Oulu needed a fast, systematic way to check on thousands of residents at risk during the COVID-19 crisis, especially people over 80 and later those aged 70–79. Using LeadDesk contact center software, the city sought to replace manual calling methods that would have been too slow and difficult to manage at scale.
LeadDesk set up the calling environment in less than 24 hours and made it easy to train nearly 200 callers in just an hour. The city uploaded call lists directly into the system, which automatically tracked successful contacts and limited retries, helping the City of Oulu reach 7,500+ residents over 80 within a week and begin contacting about 14,000 residents aged 70–79 soon after, with very positive resident feedback.
