Using data to transform the company culture at Exponent Partners

Exponent Partners, a mission-driven Salesforce implementation partner for nonprofits, needed a better way to build transparency, accountability, and stronger performance management across its small, fully remote team. With Mandy Kutschied leading talent and culture as a one-person HR team, the company wanted to move beyond lagging indicators like turnover and gain more real-time insight into engagement, wellbeing, and employee development.

Using Lattice’s engagement surveys, 1:1 meeting tools, and Performance module, Exponent Partners centralized people data, gave managers better coaching and feedback support, and created a more consistent review process. The results were strong: overall pulse survey scores rose from the low 60s to 77, employee wellbeing increased from about 55–60 to over 70, turnover fell to just 3%, and engagement improved by more than 21% year over year.
