A LANSA Case Study
ZON fruit & vegetables, a major Dutch food‑horticultural cooperative, faced poor data quality when publishing fresh produce to the Global Data Synchronization Network (GDSN): many item attributes used default values and product data was only updated just before invoicing. When a leading retail group requested EDI invoicing, ZON seized the opportunity to meet strict retail requirements and eliminate ambiguity across the supply chain.
ZON implemented LANSA Data Sync Direct integrated with its ERP and the GS1 DAS data pool, working with industry groups to define and populate all required item attributes. The project closed the loop from GDSN publication to EDI invoicing, delivering one unambiguous dataset that improves product discovery, transport and shelf planning, reduces manual communications and errors, speeds order-to-invoice processing, and positions ZON as a GS1 leader in its sector.
