Walon (now part of BCA Marketplace plc and operating as BCA Logistics) is a leading UK finished-vehicle logistics provider handling over 1.2 million vehicle movements a year through 25 centers and a 500-vehicle fleet. Facing the need to modernize its 1990-era VTMS, give dealers and manufacturers real-time web access, and add value through workshop services and new revenue streams, Walon needed a way to extend existing RPG systems and improve real-time tracking and workshop efficiency.

Walon selected LANSA WAMs to modernize front-end access and integrate with its VTMS and System21, delivering an online vehicle configuration portal, a real-time workshop management control system with barcode scanners and dashboards, and a demo-car appointment system. Built by the existing team within a year, the solutions created new revenue, enabled live monitoring and faster corrective action, and produced measurable gains—about 4% productivity improvement and a 2% rise in quality—while freeing the company to expand and modernize further.
