Rpo Automatisering Releases Advanced Software for a Fresh World

RPO Automatisering BV is a Dutch software specialist for the fruit and vegetable import/export and wholesale sector with about 20 years’ industry experience and more than 60 customers across Europe. Facing limitations of its legacy RPG-based AGF/400/AGF/ng system, RPO needed to modernize the product to support changing business requirements, multiple platforms and languages, integrate with existing RPG logic, and preserve fast traceability and a 24‑hour sales cycle for customers.

RPO redeveloped the product as Freshng Advanced Edition using LANSA (Visual LANSA/LANSA V11), creating a modular solution with purchase/sales, inventory, batch traceability, integrated financials, EDI and eCommerce that runs on Windows, System i and UNIX. The cross‑platform, portable approach let a small team deliver the new system quickly, strengthened RPO’s market position, enabled rapid customer customizations, and secured deployments with customers including AgroFair Benelux and dozens of wholesalers across Europe.
