A LANSA Case Study
Morphy Richards, a South Yorkshire–based maker of small domestic appliances with around 300 employees and over £95m turnover, designs products in the UK while sourcing manufacture from suppliers in the Far East. Their New Product Development (NPD) process spanned people, time zones and formats (emails, spreadsheets, forms), lacked structure and visibility, and needed a simple, corporate system to shorten lead times and support new category-based working.
Morphy Richards implemented Datel’s Critical Path Management (CPM) via LANSA, rolling it out to about 50 users across category teams, purchasing and management. CPM’s dashboard, calendar and electronic approvals give a single view of all critical paths with drill-down to root causes, improving control, reducing delays and underpinning a fundamental change in NPD processes while providing a web‑ready, multilingual platform for future global roll‑out.
