MarktSelect is a Netherlands-based B2B direct marketing specialist that runs telemarketing and address-list services. Faced with slow, unstable PC applications, fragmented systems and limited AS/400 expertise, the company needed an integrated, browser-based solution to improve call-centre productivity, reporting and enable online sales of customized address lists and ASP-delivered services.

Using LANSA, MarktSelect built U-Select (an online address selection and purchase service) and a scripted, browser-based outbound marketing system integrated with its RPG order and accounting systems. U-Select was delivered in two months and the call-centre system in nine, enabling dynamic script-driven screens, supervisor dashboards and remote operator access. Results included 15% more calls per hour, 15% less supervisor time per project, no downtime, faster development and maintenance, hardware savings and a new ASP market offering.
