Honda Australia Mpe Brings Its Dealer Systems in-house

Honda Australia MPE, part of the global Honda group, supplies motorcycles, marine power equipment and personal watercraft to over 1,000 dealers in Australia. Faced with an unreliable hosted dealer portal—slow, error-prone sales registrations, missing parts orders, paper-based warranty and cashback processing and costly vendor dependency—Honda decided to bring dealer systems in‑house on its System i to improve reliability, synchronization with Movex and HiPack, and overall dealer communications.

Using Visual LANSA and LANSA Integrator, Honda built an integrated web solution for sales registration, parts orders, warranty claims and automated cashbacks that updates ERP in real time, generates PDF confirmations and requires no dealer installs. The new system handled over 30,000 registrations in its first four months (more than double the previous volume), eliminated lost orders, delivered massive administrative savings, improved dealer satisfaction and gave Honda faster, in‑house control for future integrations.
