Fruberica, a Dutch importer and distributor of greenhouse vegetables, faced growing pains as paper-based quality inspections and verbal handovers slowed processing and customer responses during peak season. With rising volume and the need for accurate, timely batch information, the company needed a way to speed inspections and improve communication with sales and customers.
Fruberica and RPO implemented an iPad inspection app built with LANSA LongRange, integrated in real time with the Freshng ERP on IBM i. Inspectors now capture standardized inspection data and photos on iPads, which are validated and updated instantly in the ERP—resulting in faster processing, higher capacity without quality loss, quicker customer responses and a calmer, more efficient workflow.
