Case Study: Elders achieves rapid mobile self-service and cost savings with LANSA

A LANSA Case Study

Preview of the Elders Case Study

Elders Web Portal Digital Transformation Success With Lansa

Elders, a leading Australian agribusiness serving 40,000 farmers through 400 local branches, needed to give customers fast, mobile access to operational and transactional information held in a complex ERP of 17,000 custom programs. The business goal was to improve customer experience and reduce costs by removing barriers to ERP data without rebuilding the core systems.

Using Visual LANSA, Elders launched a self‑service mobile web portal—phase one (balances, credit limits, account summaries and staff authorization) was delivered in four weeks with LANSA mentoring, and phase two added transactional views, invoice downloads and drilling capability developed by two in‑house developers in just over two months. The intuitive rollout required no training, improved in‑field productivity for farmers, reduced branch queries, enabled plans to eliminate 40,000 printed statements, and created a lean, extensible platform for future services and ongoing cost savings.
