Duskin, through its Duskin Cleaning Services division, needed a better way to manage product collection, distribution, and account settlement for field sales staff. Before working with LANSA, employees relied on paper lists and manual data entry into an IBM i-based ERP system, which caused errors, overtime, and slow inventory processing.
LANSA implemented a mobile app using LongRange that let sales staff download client lists to iPads, update them offline, and sync data to the IBM i system when back online. The result was more accurate and consistent inventory management, with daily data entry reduced from 20–30 minutes per salesperson to instant processing, and the monthly stock-take no longer needed thanks to accurate daily settlement.
