Cropsys Portugal modernizes COBOL-based 5250 user interface

Cropsys, a Lisbon-based IT firm and LANSA/aXes partner, needed to modernize the 5250 user interface of its COBOL-based IBM i application suite, CLAVE, used in consumer finance, leasing, and dealer funding. The challenge was to make legacy systems more accessible for customers and business partners while supporting ongoing application development and reengineering.

LANSA helped Cropsys extend CLAVE with its platform, while aXes was used to modernize the browser-based 5250 interface for the remaining COBOL components. The result was a web-accessible solution for users of BNP Paribas Leasing Solutions and Renault/Nissan/Dacia dealer networks, improving access to financing, risk analysis, contractual issuance, and formalization processes.
