Cenveo Envelope provides a unified view of multiple ERP systems with LANSA

Cenveo Envelope, one of the world’s largest envelope manufacturers, struggled with fragmented data after multiple acquisitions left the company running several ERPs (including JD Edwards and Infor LN), homegrown systems and disparate databases. That made it hard for customer-facing staff to locate orders processed at different locations, slowing responses and complicating training and licensing.

Using Visual LANSA and LANSA Integrator, Cenveo built “Unity,” a browser-based portal that aggregates order, production, inventory, shipment data and millions of PDFs from four ERPs and multiple databases into a single four-tab interface and formatted Excel reports. Deployed from concept to pilot in about three months, Unity reduced per-user ERP license needs, simplified training, sped customer service (sales reps report ~20–30% efficiency gains) and cut the need to “call around” to find order information.
