The Lane Agency worked with Edinburgh Airport on a poster advertising campaign, supported by CityLink’s dedicated bus service. The challenge was to raise awareness that Edinburgh Airport is Scotland’s most popular airport and to correct the public perception that Glasgow Airport was the main choice, while also encouraging passengers in the west to see Edinburgh as an easy departure point.

The Lane Agency responded with a poster campaign featuring Edinburgh Airport’s iconic control tower placed in global settings to spotlight its reach and appeal. The campaign successfully increased awareness, with research showing Edinburgh was firmly recognized as Scotland’s leading airport, and within weeks passenger numbers from Glasgow showed double-digit growth on the service during and around the 2014 Commonwealth Games.
