HTC wanted to launch its new tablet in a crowded market dominated by iPad and needed a way to show consumers what made HTC Scribe™ Technology different. Lamar Advertising Company helped HTC introduce the product to on-the-go young professionals with out-of-home advertising that could demonstrate the tablet’s benefits in an engaging, hands-on way.

Lamar Advertising Company used rail station dominations plus digital interactive transit and cinema lobby kiosks in Boston, Chicago, Philadelphia, and San Francisco to create a “trial by out of home” experience. Consumers could take photos, draw on them with a virtual pen, and email or share the results, generating 88,108 activations and 126,985 photos with email opt-in rates of 18% for cinema kiosks and 11% for transit units.
