A Lamar Advertising Company Case Study
AT&T wanted to support its new “Rethink Possible” brand repositioning with an out-of-home campaign that could help an established telecom company stand out in a crowded Philadelphia market. Working with Lamar Advertising Company, AT&T needed a way to increase visibility, deepen community ties, and reinforce its network leadership through a fresh, never-been-done-before media experience.
Lamar Advertising Company helped execute a landmark SEPTA station domination, renaming Pattison Station as “AT&T Station” and rolling out branded station maps, signage, turnstiles, digital screens, large-format displays, floor graphics, and a pop-up retail presence. The five-year takeover delivered exclusive AT&T advertising throughout the station, launched alongside a three-month awareness push, and generated extensive PR and online coverage; the station also became notable enough to earn its own Wikipedia page.
