Slice, an authentic pizza marketplace that connects customers with local pizzerias, needed a more robust customer service platform to support its complex, two-sided marketplace. After testing several solutions and building an internal tool, product leadership sought external software to improve communication tracking, gain operational insight, and scale support consistently across customers and restaurant partners.

Slice implemented Kustomer to manage internal and external communications, using the timeline for a holistic view and features like workflows and shortcuts to automate processes. Rolled out during a major blizzard, the system enabled rapid scaling—over 100 workflows were created in the first two weeks—cut frequent tasks from 5 minutes to 1 minute, and supported 13,000 customer conversations in March, improving efficiency, visibility, quality control, and staffing decisions.
