United Illuminating - Customer Case Study

United Illuminating, a coastal Connecticut electric utility serving more than 325,000 customers, needed to replace its legacy bill print and e-billing systems with more flexible, modern technology. The company wanted hosted, turnkey solutions that could fit an aggressive timeline and integrate with its existing IT environment, while improving bill management, print/mail operations, and electronic payment processing. KUBRA was selected to support these needs with solutions including iDoxs® Suite, EZ-PAY®, iDoxs® iMail, and iDoxs® Call Center Console.

KUBRA implemented a fully integrated BPO solution for United Illuminating covering bill composition, print and mail, e-billing, and payments. The result was over 130,000 monthly payments processed through KUBRA IVR and Internet channels, real-time payment soft-posting into SAP CRM, improved customer self-service, and access to up to 24 months of archived bills. KUBRA also helped unify UI’s website with analytics and energy tools, improve call center access to current account information, and streamline walk-in payment posting.
