Louisiana Tech University's Whitney Sutherland, an educator preparing pre-service teachers, sought to enhance student collaboration and develop strong evaluation skills through meaningful, tech-enabled peer assessment in her Instructional Technology course. She required a learning technology tool that could adapt to her instructional design and provide valuable insights into the student feedback process.
The solution was implemented using the Kritik platform, which facilitated a structured peer assessment process for lesson planning assignments. Kritik’s calibration activity helped align student grading with the instructor's rubric, reinforcing course concepts. The vendor's technology enabled students to easily share ideas, view multiple approaches to integrating technology, and extend their learning by developing crucial evaluation skills for their future teaching careers.
