A Kritik Case Study
Sheridan College professor Dr. Michael Jones faced the challenge of transitioning his interactive, creativity-focused communication courses online during the pandemic. He needed to replicate the peer-sharing and collaborative elements of his in-person classroom to maintain student engagement and authentic connection in a remote learning environment.
Kritik provided a solution by creating an online platform for anonymous peer assessment, which removed bias and encouraged honest feedback. This allowed students to develop their personal style and voice while building deeper connections with their peers' work. The results included increased student engagement, with quieter students participating more openly, and the sharing of diverse, multi-national perspectives that enriched the entire class's learning experience. Kritik successfully facilitated a sense of storytelling, discovery, and creation in the online classroom.
